Daily and weekly challenges
A fresh field, the same for everyone. Top score wins.
A challenge is a timed sprint on a fresh field that is the same for every player. Everyone gets the same fleet and the same clock, so the only difference is how you play it.
- Daily
- Weekly
- Dig the most cells in {0}
- Earn the most pixels in {0}
How a challenge works
Pick Daily or Weekly, then pick a world. Each challenge has a goal, either the most cells dug or the most pixels earned, and a fixed time. When the bell goes, your score is sent and your best score is kept on that world's leaderboard.
A new field every day
The daily challenge changes every day and the weekly one every Monday, both at midnight UTC. Each one gets a new fleet, a new goal and a new time, and they never repeat back to back.
Leaderboards
Every world has its own board for every day and every week. The board shows the top fifty and your own place. You can play under your name if you sign in, or anonymously.
Pausing
You can pause a run. The game shows how long you have to finish it, and the run counts only if you finish in that time.
Questions
Do challenges need the internet?
Yes. Starting a challenge and sending a score need a connection. If the score cannot be sent right away, it is sent when you are back online.
Can I play challenges in worlds I have not unlocked?
Each challenge is set in particular worlds. If you have not unlocked any of them, the game shows that challenge as locked.
Do challenges affect my main game?
No. A challenge field is separate. Your fleet, chapters and pictures are untouched.
